Warehouse Floor Cleaning with a Viper AS710R
A large manufacturer contacted us regarding the long-term hire of a warehouse floor cleaning machine for their facility in Manchester. We discussed their needs over the phone and given the size of the warehouse a ride-on floor scrubber appeared to be the best solution.
Being an independent supplier of floor cleaning machinery, we were able to review a customer’s requirements and offer a solution from a range of suppliers that best meets their needs. We also carry a large inventory including ex-hire and reconditioned machines that are excellent value.
Techtex is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of healthcare and industrial fabrics. Their two trading divisions manufacture a variety of branded, private label and generic products ranging from high quality wet wipes to non-woven geotextiles. Each division supplies many different industries.
Based in Manchester the company operates from a modern, 60,000 sq. ft manufacturing/warehouse facility and employs over 60 staff in its two divisions. Over 3000 tonnes of fabric pass through their premises every year making their distribution centre incredibly busy and putting a lot of demand on their warehouse floor cleaning team.
We took along two machines to demonstrate which were a Viper AS710R and a Fimap MR65B, both machines are ride-on scrubber dryers and battery powered.
We demonstrated both machines on the concrete warehouse floor and found that on this occasion the Viper AS710R cleaned the floor much better than the Fimap Mr65 B.

As some areas of the floor were inaccessible, we also took also took along an attachment which can be connected to the vacuum pipe (see photos) and is extremely useful for hard to reach areas. It is a flexible hose with a metal wand which has a wet tool connected to the end, so if there is a spill or fluid leak, then the machine can be parked up, the hose fitted, and the spillage easily vacuumed up.
The team at Techtex were delighted with the demonstration and decided to take out a three-year hire contract on the Viper AS710R. All maintenance is covered for the duration of the hire (with the exception of consumables). Another benefit of hire is that it is 100% tax efficient.

We made an initial fact finding visit to the premises in Manchester to complete a survey of their warehouse floor cleaning requirements. After a review of the survey we agreed a date to visit their warehouse again to demonstrate a couple of ride-on machines which we felt would be a good match for their requirements.We took along two machines to demonstrate which were a Viper AS710R and a Fimap MR65B, both machines are ride-on scrubber dryers and battery powered.
