Scrubber Dryer Solution Tank Descaling at Stoke Retailer

Once of our engineers reported back that a call we sent him on recently was caused by a severe build-up of Limescale and to resolve he had to run through a solution tank descaling procedure several times before the machine would dispense water onto the floor again. The call originated from a customer in Stoke-on-Trent who operate a discount store there; they reported that their Viper Fang 20 HD scrubber dryer would not dispense cleaning fluid onto the floor during operation and suspecting a mechanical fault requested an engineer attend and fix the problem. As we already had an engineer in the Stoke area, we were able to attend on the same day. Solution Tank Descaling a Viper Fang 20HD Our engineer called into the store in Stoke-on-Trent and started working on the machine to identify the cause. Our engineer soon discovered that the problem was due to an excessively large build-up of limescale inside the solution tank which was so bad that no water whatsoever was able to leave the...

Planned Viper Fang Service at Carlisle Retail Store

Image
We recommend you have a Viper Fang Service carried out every year to ensure your floor cleaning machine is working at maximum efficiency; like a car there are a lot of moving parts in a scrubber dryer and with daily use wear and tear is inevitable. Some of the symptoms of a poorly serviced machine include reduced battery life, less effective floor cleaning action, leaks and dirty water being left on the floor. Our service also includes a Portable Appliance Test (PAT Test) that will highlight any electrical issues and confirm the machine is safe to use. Many of our customers take out a service contract when purchasing a machine or it is included in the contract which is quite common with rental agreements. We usually encourage our customers to take up the service option as we would rather keep our service team busy with the regular planning and carrying out service visits than responding to breakdown calls. An example of this being a Viper Fang Service we recently organised for a cus...

Replacing a Damaged Squeegee Bar at a Liverpool Law Firm

Image
We recently sent an Engineer over to Liverpool to replace a damaged squeegee bar on a Viper Fang 20 HD Scrubber Dryer which had inadvertently become caught whilst pulling the machine out of a lift, the bar was now slightly bent and no longer as effective. The office building in Liverpool was occupied by a large law firm who employ over 150 people. The scrubber dryer was used every week night to clean the canteen and corridor floors and the lift was the only practical way to move the machine between floors. The squeegee bar which is sometimes referred to as the suction bar is the curved bar that runs at the back of the machine to collect the dirty water from the floor and extract it into the recovery tank using a vacuum. The bar uses a long rubber strip to scrape the water off the floor and needs to be straight in order to maintain a good contact with the floor. Replacing a Damaged Squeegee Bar on a Viper Fang 20 HD The curved squeegee blade is designed to be easily replaced ...

Scrubber Dryer Switch Fault Repaired at Nottingham Store

Image
The owner of an independent retail store in Nottingham called us recently to report what he thought was a switch fault with their Viper Fang 20HD scrubber dryer. This machine has several rocker switches on the main panel that control various functions and they were unable to get any power to the water release and vacuum mechanisms. A3 Machines service floor cleaning machines for a wide range of customers from food manufacturers, large cleaning companies and retail chains right down to smaller independent shops. Quite often the machine has seen a lot of use which causes wear and tear and so like a car which has travelled a lot of miles it will develop the occasional fault. The store owner relied on the machine to keep the floors clean and maintain a presentable appearance for their customers and without being able to engage the water release or the vacuum to recover the water from the floor the machine was unusable. Diagnosing a Viper Fang 20HD Switch Fault Our engineer made th...

Blocked Filter Resolved for Telford Packing Company

Image
Recently we received a call from a packing company requesting assistance with their scrubber dryer which had stopped dispersing detergent onto the floor being cleaned. Potential causes for this could be a solenoid failure, pump failure, electrical issue, blocked hose or filter however we wouldn’t know for sure until an engineer had paid them a visit. The packaging facility was located in Telford , Shropshire which conveniently is only 16 miles from our base of operations in Market Drayton. Telford is actually a relatively new town, comprised of smaller industrial settlements that merged in the 1960’s and 70’s. The town is named after Thomas Telford, who you may recall is a famous an engineer that developed numerous rail and road projects that linked places in the area together. Scrubber Dryer Fault Finding With his service vehicle stocked with spare parts we sent one of our engineers to the company headquarters in Telford, to troubleshoot the machine and get it fully operational ...

Viper Cleaning Training For New Discount Store in Liverpool

Image
A new retail store belonging to a large chain of discount stores recently opened in Liverpool and prior to the opening they had purchased two new Viper floor cleaning machines from us for use in the store.  The new manager of the store wanted everything running well and had asked us to provide Viper Cleaning training to ensure the cleaning team were ready for the opening.  We normally suggest training when a new machine is delivered so its good to see the new store manager was on the ball.   Being one of the United Kingdom’s largest cities, Liverpool offers a rich variety of retailers for consumers to shop and this new store positioned in the L32 postcode area of Kirby was promising to be very popular. Providing Viper Cleaning Training One of our engineers took to the motorway to travel over to Liverpool to a large, new discount store to deliver the two new machines and provide Viper Cleaning training to the relevant members of staff.   As par...

Contract Cleaning Company Hire Viper Fang 20HD

Image
Last week we discussed the hire of a Karcher BR 45/40 by Essential Hygiene of Bury, this week we discuss the  Viper Fang 20HD hire machine they also sourced from us. If you’re a contract cleaning company like Essential Hygiene and need to access cleaning equipment on a short or long-term basis to fulfill your cleaning contracts do get in touch about our flexible fully serviced hire machines. Viper Fang 20HD Hire Machine With productivity rate of 2,000 m2 per hour the Viper Fang 20HD Scrubber Drier is classed by Viper Cleaning as the “Heavy Duty” model in their medium sized Viper Fang range. The number 20 relates to the 51cm cleaning width of the machine, i.e. 20 inches. The Viper Fang 24T with a cleaning width of 61cm (24 inches) is probably the best-selling machine in the range however it’s also larger so if your requirement is for a “Heavy Duty” machine that’s more agile with a similar capacity then it worth looking at the 20HD. Not only is the machine flexible and suitable...

Recovery Tank Blockage Resolved at Designer Retailer in Wellingborough

Image
Details below of a scrubber dryer problem we resolved recently that was caused by a recovery tank blockage. The customer at a designer retail store had reported that their floor cleaning machine was not extracting any water during the cleaning operation resulting in dirty water being left of the floor. The store was located in Wellingborough , Northamptonshire , around 11 miles from Northampton itself. The local retail industry in Wellingborough is concentrated in the Swansgate shopping centre, though there are numerous retail parks and supermarkets outside the city. Tracing the Root Cause Our engineer hit the road and made his way to the designer store in Wellingborough, to assess the nature of the problem that the customer was experiencing with their floor cleaning machine. As a designer store, the floor space needed to be kept in impeccable condition, to match the high-end nature of the clothing being sold there. To keep the vibe feeling exclusive and sophisticated, the company ...

Cleaning Machine Water Leak Repaired at Barking High School

Image
The head caretaker at a high school in East London contacted us to report that their Viper Fang 20HD scrubber dryer has a water leak. The school was situated in the town of Barking , in the East London borough of Barking and Dagenham which is roughly a three hour trip from our base in Shropshire. We actually provide services to a larger number schools and colleges throughout the country so travelling down to East London is not an unusual request for our service engineers. Finding the Water Leak Source When our engineer arrived on the scene he began his inspection of the floor cleaning machine in order to trace the source of the water leak. The school had opted for a Viper Fang 20HD battery-operated walk behind scrubber drier to keep their larger areas of floor space clean in the face of the soiling from all the students, especially at this time of year when the weather is particularly wet and muddy.  When inspecting the scrubber dryer, our engineer found that the skirting wh...

Viper Fang 20HD Vinyl Floor Cleaning Demonstration in Dartford

Image
Following a site visit two weeks ago, A3 were delighted to be invited back to The World Mission Agency in Dartford , Kent to demonstrate Vinyl Floor Cleaning with a walk behind, Viper 20HD battery operated Scrubber Dryer which after our initial visit felt was the most appropriate machine for their needs as explained below. Reviewing Floor Cleaning Requirements The building facilitates the work of a Christian charity and holds regular services including a Sunday school for children and young adults as well as hosting community based events. The flooring was Vinyl and this had been installed throughout the long, wide corridors and rooms which were to be cleaned three or four times a week.  Although not as demanding as a retail outlet the floors in this building would see a lot of foot traffic, so a medium capacity machine would best suit the needs of the client. Ideally the machine would be battery powered so the operator wouldn’t have to continually unplug from room to room a...
