A specialist flooring company based in Coventry , called us recently to ask if we could repair their Viper VE 17P Floor Buffer. It seems a member of staff had broken a lever on the handle of their floor buffer that they used for polishing floors and being a flooring company they needed the machine back in operation quickly.  We already had the required part in stock and with Coventry being only an hour away from our service center we were able to schedule in a visit by one our engineers that afternoon.  We have numerous customers in the West Midlands which has a long industrial heritage due to the discovery of coal in the Black Country and was very active during the industrial revolution. Another call we received over the Christmas holidays was a call from a fashion retail store regarding the malfunction of their Karcher BR40/25 scrubber drier. The store was located in Birmingham , West Midlands. Birmingham is the second largest city in the United Kingdom and known as the “Workshop of the World” for its history of cutting edge development in the sciences and industry. Incidentally Birmingham also has a rich artistic culture, ranging from literature, (the home of J.R.R Tolkein, author of The Lord of the Rings ) to music, as it is the origin of Heavy Metal. Getting back to the story, the owner of the independent fashion store contacted us to say the brushes on his floor cleaning machine were not rotating when the machine was powered on. We were contacted by a private nursing home in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands. They had seen our website and wondered whether or not we could advise them of a company who could perform machine repairs to their Prochem Polaris 800. They had contacted us as Wolverhampton isn’t that far from our head office in Soudley and we were very pleased to inform them that we had a number of mobile engineers who could perform repairs across the UK and would be more than happy to send the next available. The company operates throughout the UK and on this occasion we were called out to their site in Birmingham , West Midlands. Servicing and Maintenance of the Carpet Cleaner After receiving the call from the head office of the hygiene company, the engineer stocked his van with spares for the machine and arranged to carry out a full service the following day. We were recently contacted by an existing customer of ours in  Stoke-on-Trent  who are a well known manufacturer of high end pottery tableware in Stoke-on-Trent. They were looking for a floor cleaning machine for their three storey high Victorian building which was the base for their manufacturing business. Also known as the Potteries, Stoke-on-Trent has a long heritage in the pottery industry with many famous brands based there. Choosing the Right Floor Cleaning Machine In order to recommend the right machine we made an initial site visit to assess the condition and material of the floors. Stoke-on-Trent isn’t too far from our base in Shropshire but its worth noting we are happy to make the effort to travel anywhere in England and Wales to carry out a demonstration.
