With summer in full swing many people are hosting events such as weddings, christenings, birthday parties etc inside a marquee. The Marquee rental business has come a long way in recent years and most hire companies now offer a wide range of fixtures and fittings such as bars, tables, chairs, wooden floors and chequered tiled dance floors. Marquee Floor Cleaning We were recently contacted by a company who supply top end marquees, they were about to dismantle a marquee which had been used for a three-day equestrian event in the south of England. It had been used as a VIP hospitality area during the day and for fine dining and dancing during the evenings. After three days of heavy use the floor was now stained from food and drink as well as grass stains and shoe marks, it was now in dire need of a deep clean to it could be rented out again in good condition. The marquee measured 28 ft x 38 ft (784 Square Feet or 73 m2) and the majority of the floor was wood with a tiled dance floor...

This was our second visit to The Factory Young People's Centre in Birmingham where we did a cleaning demonstration of the Nilfisk SC450 Scrubber Dryer. Although we try to spec the right machine before arriving at a customer’s premises you never know for sure until you try it on-site and, in this case, it was clear a larger machine was needed to do the job. Our aim is to ensure we specify exactly the right machine for the customer and this is why an on-site demonstration is so important.
