The owner of the company had been on the lookout for an industrial vacuum for use in their food processing kitchen. Their company was on our mailing list and having received our updated brochure was confident we could supply what they needed. Scrubber Dryers are large power-hungry machines with high capacity batteries and several demanding 500-watt motors so it’s quite common to for the machines to be fitted with circuit breakers to protect the components. Whilst circuit breakers are a huge improvement over fuses they do tend to be more sensitive and can cause alarm when they start tripping, especially on a machine which holds a lot of water. This was the situation that faced a customer of ours at a large discount store in Altrincham where their Viper Fang 24T Scrubber Dryer would suddenly lose power to the brush motors which spins the drive board. An existing customer contacted us from a discount retail Store in Manchester requesting our assistance with their floor scrubber dryer which had a perished vacuum tank seal resulting in a loss of suction and dirty water being left on the floor being cleaned. The seals on Scrubber Dryers need to be maintained or air will leak into the system causing it to loose pressure and reduce the effectiveness of the vacuum system which lifts soiled cleaning solution from the floor and deposits it in the recovery tank. We received a phone call from a customer who reported an unusual issue with their floor cleaning machine. It seems they still been able to use the machine although it felt “a little lopsided”, however realising this problem needed to be resolved they decided to give us a call. Our A3 engineers are always on the go so when we received a call for replacement Viper Charger we were able to supply one very quickly. The call came in from one of our customers in Manchester who maintains a car showroom with a Viper Fang 24T scrubber dryer. It seems a member of their cleaning team had accidentally dropped the charger when they were stretching over the machine. The Viper chargers are small brick like devices and are usually quite robust however on this occasion the drop damaged the charger and it would no longer supply any power to charge the machine. The car showroom is a reasonable size and needs to be kept looking immaculate in order to present the vehicles. This is of course complicated by the customer footfall and, it goes without saying, the odd tire mark or two from deliveries of cars. Recently we sent one of our team of engineers to a retail store in Oldham to assess and, if necessary, repair a cleaning machine that was used to clean the flooring within the store.
