Viper Fang 24T Parts Replaced at Greater Manchester Retail Store
Recently we sent one of our team of engineers to a retail store in Oldham to assess and, if necessary, repair a cleaning machine that was used to clean the flooring within the store. For those who are unfamiliar Oldham is part of Greater Manchester in the Pennines and grew rapidly during the industrial boom of the 19th century where it became known as a centre of the textile manufacturing.
The machine was a Viper Fang 24T battery powered pedestrian scrubber dryer and the operator had made mention of a split in the waste pipe of the machine, the part of the machine that transfers soiled water into the waste tank.
Our engineer carried out a full inspection and found a further problem to be with the filter which had not been cleaned for sometime and was now blocked. The engineer cleaned out the filter and then replaced the waste pipe which was split was near the connection to the waste tank. Further inspection found a bad connection as well, and this was remedied as part of the service.
As part of the routine, the water tank was descaled and new suction rubbers were fitted, bringing the machine back to its full potential. A full operational test was then carried out to test that all was right again with the machine and full preventative maintenance advice was given to the operator regarding the cleaning and descaling procedures necessary to keep the machine running properly.
The customer was very satisfied with the results of the machine repair. There were absolutely no complaints or performance issues anymore and the customer was also well informed on how to maintain the machine going forward, as is standard procedure with our engineers.
Assessing and Repairing the Floor Cleaning Machine
The issue with the machine according to the operator was that it was not working properly due to a split in a component. One of our engineers promptly arrived at the site to carry out the work needed to get the machine operational. As a large store in the town, it had a vast amount of tiled floor space, which, because of regular customer foot fall and trolley traffic, needs consistent cleaning to meet store and hygiene standards. Thus, it was very important for the engineer to assess the machine and remedy any issues. The machine was a Viper Fang 24T battery powered pedestrian scrubber dryer and the operator had made mention of a split in the waste pipe of the machine, the part of the machine that transfers soiled water into the waste tank.

Viper Fang 24 Battery Powered Pedestrian Scrubber Dryer
The Viper Fang 24T features a 66 litre tank and is a robust machine measuring 141 x 66 x 100cm. It is protected by front and rear collision protection and an impact-proof cover. It works in virtue of two tanks, one of which releases clean water and chemicals. The brushes then scrub the floor and the dirty water is sucked up as the machine moves over it, depositing the dirty water in the second tank. This makes it very simple to dispose of the dirty water. The customer was very satisfied with the results of the machine repair.
