Earlier this year we were contacted by company in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne about the hire of a viper floor cleaning machine . They had already purchased a Viper cleaning machine from us two years ago and impressed with its efficiency now wanted to expand their cleaning machine fleet. The company specialise in the manufacturer of car brake linings and required a machine for cleaning the floor in their factory. With a large area to keep clean and a manufacturing process that has the potential to generate a lot of debris mechanical assistance was needed. Working During the COVID-19 Outbreak After discussing their requirements over the phone, we organised a demonstration of a couple of machines at their premises in Newcastle. This was much easier to do before the COVID-19 outbreak, these days we need to take more precautions including the use of sanitiser spray, wearing single use PPE, and working outside where possible. We received a call from a cleaning contractor who runs a cleaning team at discount retail store regarding a floor scrubber machine . The store reported that their machine had recently started to leak water whilst in operation and naturally concerned they decided to call us in to have the machine inspected and repaired. We have a number of engineers who travel around the country carrying out repairs and arranged for one of our engineers to make an inspection of the machine and carry out any necessary repairs if possible. The store was located in Nottingham , in the Midlands which is about a 90 minute trip east of our base in Market Drayton along the A50. Your probably already aware that Nottingham is most famous as being the setting for the story of Robin Hood but did you know that it’s also one of the most densely populated cities in the United Kingdom and the home of writer D.H. Lawrence , who, amongst others contributed to a literary culture which earned Nottingham the UNESCO titl...
