On this occasion however we received a call from the head of maintenance at a Turbo Manufacturing company.
We were informed that the Viper Fang 20HD scrubber dryer that their maintenance team were using to keep the floors in the facility clean had ceased to operate. The manufacturing company was situated in Stockport, Greater Manchester, which has a long manufacturing history and a ninety minute drive north from our base in Market Drayton.
Our engineer arrived and was shown to the machine – A Viper Fang 20HD Floor Scrubber. He then proceeded to carry out a thorough diagnostic inspection. He found that the problem was a missing lock mechanism. Without this piece of equipment, the safety cut out switch could not close and the power circuit was disabled. The cause of the issue could be remedied by simply replacing the missing lock mechanism. Luckily our engineer had this part in his van so the repair could be carried out there and then, on-site. The machine was then put through a series of tests to detect other problems before being placed back into use.
