Viper Fang 24T Repair at Nottingham Food Business
A food preparation business located in Nottingham in the Midlands called our cleaning machine service line about a Viper Fang 24T Repair. The machine appeared to be cutting out during use, or in more technical terms, was demonstrating intermittent loss of drive. The companies factory was in Nottingham which is one of the UK’s largest cities, and is considered a UNESCO city of a literature for the famed contribution of writers such as Lord Byron and D.H Lawrence.
Clearly this would be a problem for anyone who needed to use the Viper Fang 24T scrubber dryer on a routine basis, but for a food preparation establishment, it was especially troublesome. Hygiene standards must be met at all times to keep the food being prepared from becoming contaminated and therefore unfit for consumption. Thus, getting the machine back to working order as quickly as possible was imperative for the business.
The Viper Fang 24T is a battery powered pedestrian scrubber dryer that designed to be robust but naturally like any machine that gets a lot of use parts can wear and cause problems. Our engineers are highly experienced, and on this occasion, our engineer suspected he knew what the cause might be before he had even got on site. We keep a lot of spare parts on our fleet of service vehicles anyway, but he made doubly sure he had the suspected part as well. Having the right Viper Fang 24T repair parts on the vehicle will ensure he could complete the job there and then and return the scrubber dryer back to operational use.
As it happens, once our engineer got a look at the machine, he turned out to be right! The intermittent loss of drive was being caused by a faulty speed control unit. A safety feature of the Viper machines will cut the power if it detects an issue with the speed control unit in order to prevent a loss of control. Our engineer was able to replace the unit with a new one, which he had packed with him and test the machine. It was, of course, working properly again.
Before leaving our engineer gave the cleaning machine a thorough a series of tests designed to detect other issues. None were apparent however the floor cleaning machine due an electrical PAT test in a few weeks, therefore, the engineer carried out the necessary test whilst he was on site and was happy to say the machine is now back in operation.

Diagnosing the Fault on the Viper Fang 24T
Our engineer made the journey to Nottingham from our base in Shropshire, to diagnose the fault and repair the floor cleaning machine that was experiencing the intermittent problem. Apparently, the machine would simply stop, but without any obvious reason and then, again for no apparent reason would become operational again.Clearly this would be a problem for anyone who needed to use the Viper Fang 24T scrubber dryer on a routine basis, but for a food preparation establishment, it was especially troublesome. Viper Fang 24T Battery Powered Pedestrian Scrubber Dryer
The Viper Fang 24T scrubber-dryer is a robust machine. Measuring 141 x 66 x 100cm, it is housed in moulded plastic but its size means that it is durable whilst also being manoeuvrable. It is protected by front and rear collision protection and an impact-proof cover. It works in virtue of two tanks, one of which releases clean water and chemicals. The brushes then scrub the floor and the dirty water is sucked up as the machine moves over it, depositing the dirty water in the second tank. This makes it very simple to dispose of the dirty water, and the 66-litre tank means the user can spend less time emptying and more time cleaning.Viper Fang 24T Repair to speed control unit in Nottingham
