Overview of the Viper AS710R Rider on Scrubber

The Viper AS710R Ride-on Scrubber Drier is the larger of the two Ride-On Scrubber Dryers currently available from Viper cleaning machines, the smaller being the AS530R model.  Viper Cleaning, based in Copenhagen are part of the Nilfisk group, and aim to provide cleaning machines which are easy-to-use and easy to service.

Features and Benefits of the Viper AS710R Scrubber Dryer

The Viper AS710R is a Ride-on Scrubber dryer, making it ideally suited for large areas and commercial environments which exceed 5000m2 in size. It is perfect for heavy traffic areas and for this reason remains popular with large retailers, hotels and industrial sites. It is an adaptable machine, equipped to deal with a whole variety of different floor types, such as tiled, vinyl, sealed wood and concrete. It is compact whilst remaining robust, and comes packaged with 2 brushes, 2 pad holders, a squeegee, and an on-board charger to charge the four 6 volt batteries with an impressive 245Ah capacity. Other features of the Viper AS710R include:

  • Robust and powerful: Mechanical lifting or lowering of brushes, plus an optional front bumper which protects the machine and extends its lifespan

In terms of size, the Viper AS710R measures in at 1580 x 760 x 1230mm with a net weight of 225kg. It comes equipped with a 500w drive motor and 2 300w brush motors. It also boasts a 500w vacuum motor.

Viper AS710R Maintenance

Despite being robust and heavy-duty, the Viper AS710R is still liable to fall victim to certain faults if it is not maintained regularly – as with all cleaning machines. Our engineers regularly stress the importance of preventative maintenance as well as annual servicing, to ensure safety and performance. Recurring issues that can happen if the machine is not properly maintained are:
  • Blocked filters
  • Scale build-up in water tanks
  • Greasing
  • Connections
  • Battery maintenance
These issues can all be resolved, as mentioned above, with regular maintenance, but also, are easily resolved by our engineers. Spare parts are readily available and under-the-hood access to the machine is easily achieved due to the Viper’s design. Recently, we had a call from a customer who was experiencing a number of the issues listed. The filter had become blocked, the suction rubbers damaged and the floor pads had been overused. All of these issues were solved by our engineer, but may have been avoided altogether if proper maintenance of the machine was adhered to.
