Walk Behind Floor Scrubber Repair at Rockingham Retail Park

A multi-retail park in Rockingham, logged a call with our machine servicing team recently to report that their Viper Fang 24T commercial floor scrubber wasn’t working properly and needed an engineer on-site to correct the problem and put it back into operation.

The customer reported that their machine simple “wasn’t working properly” so without much to go on our engineer loaded his service vehicle with Viper Fang parts and a reconditioned machine in case the problem could not be resolved.

Rockingham Park is a new leisure park offering approximately 75,000 sq.ft. of mixed leisure uses in an attractive landscaped environment in a highly visibly location and includes a mix of well know shops, franchise retailers etc.

Assessing the Viper Fang Floor Scrubber

Our engineer headed out to site to see how he could help our customer. When he got there, he found that their floor cleaning machine, a Viper Fang 24 Battery Powered walk behind Floor Scrubber Dryer had a number of faults caused by general wear and tear. The main issues were blocked filters, a split in the water hose and the suction rubber had hardened. These are all problems simply caused by a lack of general preventative maintenance which his not unusual in the cleaning industry which generally has a high turnover of staff.

Fortunately, our engineer was able to replace the water hose and the suction rubbers and clean the filters (or replace them where necessary) to get the machine back to full working order. After testing the machine, our engineer was able to conclude that it was operational again and it was put back into service.

Before leaving he highlighted the importance of regular care of the machine pointing that if completed as weekly maintenance most of the usual problems can be avoided. We always recommend that its best practice for one person to be responsible for the task of carrying out the regular maintenance which for a commercial floor scrubber usually involves the regular descaling of the tanks, keeping the bolts greased and keeping the filters clear.

Viper Fang 24 Battery Powered Pedestrian Scrubber Dryer

The Viper 24 scrubber-dryer is a robust machine. Measuring 141 x 66 x 100cm, it is housed in moulded plastic but its size means that it is durable whilst also being manoeuvrable. It is protected by front and rear collision protection and an impact-proof cover. It works in virtue of two tanks, one of which releases clean water and chemicals. The brushes then scrub the floor and the dirty water is sucked up as the machine moves over it, depositing the dirty water in the second tank. This makes it very simple to dispose of the dirty water and the 66-litre tank means the user can spend less time emptying and more time cleaning.
