Factory Floor Cleaning Equipment Demo in Dudley
Details below of our last floor cleaning equipment demonstration for 2018 which took place at a manufacturing company in Dudley. The request came from James Walker Rotabolt who were in the market for a Pedestrian Sweeper and Scrubber Dryer floor cleaning equipment for use in their factory. They had found us on-line and having looked at our web site, were very impressed with the range of products and services that we provide.
This is important in Engineering as 90% of all bolted joint failures can be attributed to low bolt tension on installation tightening. Achieving and maintaining the correct installed design tension eliminates failures from fatigue, vibration loosening, structural slip and pressure containment.
Due to nature of the business, the factory floor was getting covered in tiny shards of metal which needed to cleared A) for reasons of health and safety and B) so that the floor could be properly cleaned. Having asked all the relevant questions i.e. floor type and area, we were able to take along the most appropriate machines for the task.
To deal with the metal shards we took an Oypla Manual Floor Sweeper, which collects debris into its large 20L container cassette that is easily removed for emptying.
The forward action of the machine is used to power a set of powerful roller brushes and corner brushes to ensure a thorough clean-up. The ergonomic handle can be adjusted to three different heights to suit the user and folds away for easy storage. The sweeping height can also be adjusted meaning that the sweeper is able to cope with a range of different surfaces and types of debris.
It worked perfectly on the factory floor collecting the metal shards and other debris generates during manufacturing.
As part of the demonstration we applied a small amount of cleaning fluid diluted with water to the floor to better highlight the dirt on the floor. The Viper AS430B was then run over the floor to allow the action of the rotary scrubbing pad to deep clean the concrete floor. The rear squeegee and vacuum collects and extracts the resulting dirty water leaving the floor clean, dry and ready to walk on.
The company’s health and safety manager was present for the demonstration and was very impressed with the performance; as a result and I’m happy to report a decision was made to purchase both machines. We discussed the various purchasing options and they decided to make an outright purchase and were happy for us to leave the machines with them.

AS430B Battery Powered Scrubber Dryer
Having demonstrated the Oypla Sweeper we then gave a demonstration of a Viper AS430B Battery Powered Scrubber Dryer. We chose this model of scrubber dryer as it needed to be slim enough to get into some of the narrow gaps between the machinery and work benches.As part of the demonstration we applied a small amount of cleaning fluid diluted with water to the floor to better highlight the dirt on the floor.
