Recovery Tank Blockage Resolved at Designer Retailer in Wellingborough
Details below of a scrubber dryer problem we resolved recently that was caused by a recovery tank blockage. The customer at a designer retail store had reported that their floor cleaning machine was not extracting any water during the cleaning operation resulting in dirty water being left of the floor. The store was located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, around 11 miles from Northampton itself. The local retail industry in Wellingborough is concentrated in the Swansgate shopping centre, though there are numerous retail parks and supermarkets outside the city.
When our engineer arrived, he gave the machine a full inspection. During his diagnostic testing, our engineer found that the inlet to the machines recovery tank was completely blocked. To resolve this all that really needed to be done was to remove the blockage and give the tank a thorough clean. After doing this, our engineer tested the machine and found it to be in full working order again.
Before leaving, he gave the staff advice on full preventative maintenance, including keeping the recovery tank clear of debris and clean. It’s worth noting that A3 Machines alone maintain over 800 Viper Cleaning machines and in our experience the majority of calls we receive could have been avoided if regular maintenance checks were to be carried out.

Tracing the Root Cause
Our engineer hit the road and made his way to the designer store in Wellingborough, to assess the nature of the problem that the customer was experiencing with their floor cleaning machine. As a designer store, the floor space needed to be kept in impeccable condition, to match the high-end nature of the clothing being sold there. To keep the vibe feeling exclusive and sophisticated, the company cleaned the floors with a Viper Fang 20HD Battery Operated Walk Behind Scrubber Drier. When our engineer arrived, he gave the machine a full inspection.
