Loss of Suction Issue Resolved at North London Retailer
A call came in from a customer at a retail store who was concerned about the performance of their floor cleaning machine, in particular the apparent loss of suction. According to the customer, the machine was failing to pick up dirty water from the floor. The retail store was in a highly populated area of North London and was in constant use cleaning the floors of the store so a remedy was needed as soon as possible.
With these factors in mind our engineers packed his service vehicle with the relevant spares and made the trip to North London to get to the bottom of the problem and get the machine operational again. As a large store in a busy area the store faces a high level of customer footfall and maintaining a daily floor cleaning schedule is essential. The machine designated to the task was a Viper Fang 20 battery-powered walk-behind scrubber dryer, however the loss of suction resulted in dirty water was being left behind during the cleaning process making more work for the cleaning team.
Upon arrival, our engineer carried out an inspection of the machine and found that the suction bar was extremely dirty, showing no evidence of having been cleaned in a long time. Also, the suction rubber was very worn and was not making much contact with the floor, hence the machine having a hard time maintaining the vacuum and picking up dirty water from the floor. Our engineer proceeded to give the suction bar a thorough clean and he then replaced the suction rubber. Upon testing, the machine was back in full working order, doing the job it was designed to do.
Of course, our engineer did not leave before providing the customer with advice on preventative maintenance, which included routinely cleaning the components of the machine, to stop problems before they arise. The customer was of course satisfied with the service and that their machine was back to peak performance once again.
The solution tank can hold 61 litres of cleaning fluid and the recovery tank is similarly sized. Unladen the machine weighs approximately 138 kg, though this can obviously vary depending on the liquid contained in the machine.

Viper Fang 20 Battery Operated Walk Behind Scrubber Dryer
The Viper Fang 20 is a medium sized battery powered scrubber dryer. It is designed to be robust, due to its rotationally moulded housing, whilst also being manoeuvrable, due to its ergonomic design. It thus strikes that fine balance between usability and solidity. The machine comes with an extra set of squeegees on board, ensuring the user can regularly change and clean part when needed. There is also an on-board charger for the battery.
