Damaged Waste Pipe Repaired at Cambridge Superstore
The service team recently responded to a customer who reported that their floor cleaning machine had a damaged waste pipe. The machine was a Viper Fang 24T scrubber dryer which is a solid machine that’s difficult to damage in this way however the issue does render the machine unusable as waste water will be left on the floor.
The superstore was located in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire famous for its university, which was founded in 1209 and ranks amongst the top five in the world. This also means Cambridge is a great place for retailers, as the City has a large local population enhanced by students and tourists.
On arrival our engineer took a look at the cleaning machine and verified the issue was related to a damaged waste pipe which was preventing the machine from picking up dirty water as it should. It soon became apparent that the waste pipe was indeed damaged and it didn’t take long to replace it. The next step before handing the machine back to the cleaning team was to perform a number of operational tests to ensure there were no other issues.
Naturally the last thing we want is to be called back to the same site following a service visit so we always look for other problems. No other problems were found and it was clear the machine was performing properly once again so the machine was given back to the cleaning team. It wasn’t apparent what had caused the damage to the waste pipe and I wouldn’t want to speculate, the main point is that the customer was very happy to have their machine back in full working order.
The machine measures 141 x 66 x 100cm and is housed in a strong moulded plastic case and has a very durable yet manoeuvrable design. It is protected by front and rear collision protection and an impact-proof cover. The machine has two tanks, one of which releases clean water and chemicals and second for the recovery of the soiled water after it has been extracted from the floor. The large battery capacity and tanks ensure the user can more time cleaning the floor and less time emptying the tanks and waiting for the machine to charge.
