Viper Fang Waste Leak Repair at Barnsley Car Showroom
With up to 75 litres of dirty water on board the Viper Fang 24T scrubber dryer can cause quite a mess should the waste leak. The facilities manager of a large showroom in Barnsley experienced exactly this problem when they experienced a waste leak via the recovery tank drain hose and called us in to get it repaired.
With a long industrial heritage that includes linen production and coal mining, this South Yorkshire town has always been busy and a recent re-generation scheme to rethink the town and promote its long history has helped its popularity and become a great location for all types of businesses.
Upon inspection of the machine, our engineer found that the drain hose was worn and split due to general wear and tear. Cleaning machines get a lot of use over the years so it’s not surprising to see problems arising with cracked or split hoses. The machine uses gravity to allow the recovery tank to be drained so he recovery drain hose is permanently filled with dirty water from the recovery tank. The solution was to replace the hose which involves stripping down part of the machine, disconnecting the old hose and replacing with new.
With the drain hose replaced the machine was put through a standard set of scrubber dryer tests to ensure the waste leak was resolved and the machine was operating at fully capacity. All was well, so the machine was returned to operation much to the relief of the facilities manager.

Viper Fang 24T Pedestrian Scrubber Dryer
The Viper Fang 24T scrubber-dryer is a robust machine. Measuring 141 x 66 x 100cm, it is housed in moulded plastic but its size means that it is durable whilst also being manoeuvrable. It is protected by front and rear collision protection and an impact-proof cover. It works in virtue of two tanks, one of which releases clean water and chemicals. The brushes then scrub the floor and the dirty water is sucked up as the machine moves over it, depositing the dirty water in the second tank. This makes it very simple to dispose of the dirty water, and the 66-litre tank means the user can spend less time emptying and more time cleaning.- For more detail on the Viper Fang 24T please read the following review: Viper Fang 24T Scrubber Dryer Review
