Scrubber Dryer Leaking Water Repaired at Abergavenny Retailer
We recently took a call from a customer in Abergavenny who reported that their floor cleaning machine was leaking water when being used. Abergavenny is in the country of Monmouthshire and is affectionately known as the “gateway to Wales”. Situated on the English border it’s a popular destination for tourists and for those who like to shop the town has plenty of retail opportunities including the discount store operated by our customer.
Our engineer was able to trace the source of the leaking water by stripping off the housing and then turning on the machine to engage the main pump and generate some water pressure. It turns out that the root cause of the problem was a hole in the water filter where the filter had become cracked. The filter is located under the machine so its possible that the filter became damaged during use.
Our engineers carry a comprehensive stock of Viper spare parts with them on the van, the engineer in this case was able to replace the filter unit with a brand new one, thus rectifying the issue and resolving source of the leaking water.
As always, before leaving the customers site, our engineer fully tested the machine, making sure that it was in full working order before handing it back over to the cleaning staff at the store.
The machine has an ergonomic design for easy manoeuvrability and large 61 litre solution and recovery tanks and high capacity batteries give the machine a productivity rating of 2,160 m2 per hour. Standard and soft brushes available as option and the machine comes with an extra set of squeegees on board, ensuring the user can regularly change and clean part when needed.
There is also an on-board charger for the battery.

Determining the Source of the Leaking Water
We sent one of our engineers out to Abergavenny to get a feel for the condition of the machine and isolate the source of the problem. The customer had informed us that the machine, a Viper Fang 20HD Pedestrian Scrubber Drier had been leaking water whenever it was powered on. This meant that the daily task of keeping the store clean and in keeping with company hygiene standards was made harder as instead of leaving the floor clean and dry it was leaving small puddles of water behind the machine. Our engineer was able to trace the source of the leaking water by stripping off the housing and then turning on the machine to engage the main pump and generate some water pressure.
