Nilfisk Floor Polisher Hire to Stoke-on-Trent Supermarket

A3 Machines recently took a call from the manager of a supermarket in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, who was looking for Floor Polisher Hire. It turns out they had just completed an extensive refurbishment of their store and the Terrazzo tiled floor was now in a very poor state and in of a face lift.

Terrazzo is the by-product of broken pieces of stone often Marble, Limestone and Granite, which rather than being wasted are set into to a cement screed and poured onto the floor or as in this case formed into a tile which once set is grinded to a polished finish. Like any polished stone Terrazzo will lose its appearance over time and the best way to restore it is burnish it with diamond encrusted pads of different grits.

Burnishing pads are available for this however to cover the 1300 m2 Terrazzo floor with a conventional machine could take weeks, so the manager wanted to know if we had a floor polisher hire that could do the job faster. Fortunately, we had available a Nilfisk UHR70-1700 burnisher that was perfect for the job.

Nilfisk UHR70-1700 Ride on Floor Polisher

The Nilfisk UHR70-1700 is a battery powered ride-on burnisher with a 1700 rpm pad speed and three different pressure settings. It provides quiet and effective activity on large hard floor areas and is highly recommend for polishing stone floors in large pedestrian areas such airport terminals, shopping centres and hospitals.

 The extended battery run time allows an exceptional productivity that allows for more than 12.500 m² to be burnished on one single charge. Being a ride on machine it makes burnishing large areas easy and comfortable and the adjustable floor pressure allows the machine to adapt to every kind of floor and to give a consistent finish every time.

The Nilfisk floor polisher hire is supplied complete with a pad holder and we can also supply the burnishing pads depending on what job your looking to use the machine for.

We delivered the machine to the supermarket in Hanley and gave them a demonstration of how to operate it and how to use the different grades of diamond encrusted burnishing pads to restore the appearance of the Terrazzo floor. The work went very well after receiving a call to pickup the machine we took a few pictures, so you could see the improvement in the Terrazzo tiles the machine had made.
