On-Site Karcher Repair and Service at Birmingham Store

A3 Machines recently received a call from the cleaning manager of a large retail discount store asking if we would be able to do a Karcher Repair and Service. They were experiencing an issue with rollers on their Karcher BR40/25C floor scrubber which is an older model and no longer part of the Karcher range. The store was located in Birmingham which is just over an hour’s drive from our premises and familiar ground for our Engineers due to the large array of shops and retailers in the City Centre and surrounding areas.

Karcher Repair and Service

One of our engineers made the relatively short journey over to Birmingham, travelling to our customer in the large discount store. The high footfall that the store attracted will obviously result in the build up of dirt, meaning cleaning the floors regularly was an absolute necessity. The cleaning staff relied on the Karcher BR40/25C Scrubber Dryer to clean the floors of the store and so needed it the machines operational as quickly as possible.

When our engineer arrived, he carried out a full inspection of the machine. He found that the cause of the problem was that, due to age and a lack of maintenance, the bearings had seized up preventing the rollers from moving. On top of this, as the machine had not been serviced in several years and a catalogue of parts needed replacing. Fortunately, our engineer had all the Karcher parts required in stock on his vehicle, so there was no need for him to take the machine back to the workshop for repair. He replaced the bearings and fully greased them, before installing a new drive belt and transmission shafts.

Having fitted all the necessary parts, he gave the machine a full service including descaling the water tank and suction rubber and then tested it before leaving. Upon testing, it was clear that the machine was back in full working order and our engineer could leave the customer satisfied with their problem-free machine.

Karcher BR40/25 Battery Powered Floor Scrubber

The Karcher BR40/25 is a compact battery powered manually-steered floor scrubber which utilises a set of microfiber roller brushes to clean up to 1600 m² of hard flooring per hour. The clever 25 Litre tank in tank system for fresh and waste water enhances the machines stability, reduces the dimensions of the machine and reduces set up times.

The BR40/25 is ideal for economic cleaning of all hard floor surfaces, maintenance cleaning and polishing. All parts are fully replaceable making a Karcher repair straight forward and ensuring longevity. The machine comes from the Karcher Professional range of Compact floor scrubber driers and measures 800 x 575 x 830mm making it ideally suited for small-medium sized floor cleaning tasks.
