Details below of our last floor cleaning equipment demonstration for 2018 which took place at a manufacturing company in Dudley. Motor dealer KC Cars of Dartford contacted us recently about a workshop cleaning machine for their service and repair centre in Dartford. They had received one of our new brochures and realised that a machine would make short work of workshop cleaning at the garage floor following a long day of repairs and servicing. If you’re a fan of scotch eggs you will be interested in our recent sale of a Nilfisk S3 Industrial Vacuum to a gourmet food manufacturer in Bolton . The owner of the company had been on the lookout for an industrial vacuum for use in their food processing kitchen. Their company was on our mailing list and having received our updated brochure was confident we could supply what they needed. Specifying exactly the right machine for any given situation is a specialty of ours and this is especially important when it comes to school floor cleaning where you must take child safety into account. We do a lot of work supplying and maintaining floor cleaning machines at schools and colleges and have become quite familiar with their unique requirements. A3 Machines were contacted recently about a new machine for cleaning concrete floors at their manufacturing facility in Donnington . The company specialise in the production of top end patisseries including gluten free pastry aimed at the higher end of the pastry market and supply several fine dining caterers and independent bakeries. They have been trading from their premises in Donnington for ten years and were looking for a machine that was capable of scrubbing and drying and generally cleaning concrete floors in several areas of their premises. This was to improve hygiene and to cut down on the time cleaning concrete which was being done with a jet hose. The three key areas to be cleaned were the refrigerated store room which was kept at a constant minus 2 degrees, consequently nobody wanted to be in there for too long, the pastry prep area (also very chilly) and the indoor loading bay. A3 Machines were recently contacted by a nationwide cleaning company who were looking for a new machine to fulfill a university floor cleaning contract. The cleaning company have an extensive portfolio of customers around the country and the machine in this case was for use at Newcastle University. The machine would see regular use at the University floor cleaning, so they needed a new scrubber dryer that would be kept on site and would replace their existing machine. In order to spec the right machine, we discussed the cleaning companies’ requirements over the phone and collected as much information about the working environment and floors as possible. It turns out the scrubber dryer was needed to clean the hard floors at the student’s union building which comprised of three floors and included a lounge/bar, coffee bar, theater and sports hall. It was with great pleasure that we recently attended the John Beddoes Campus of Newtown High School in Wales to demonstrate a Taski Ergodisc 17” floor polisher. We were there at the request of the school who were looking for a new machine to replace their Taski Ranger 15” floor polisher which had given them 20-years of service. In fact, the old machine had been used on a daily basis during term times to polish the non-slip assembly hall vinyl floor; I don’t think anyone could complain at that and what a testament to reliability of Taski machinery. A customer recently contacted A3 Machines with an urgent hire request for multiple cleaning machines and wanted to visit our premises in Market Drayton for a demonstration. It turns out that they had recently been awarded a large cleaning contract for a factory which needed to be cleaned five days a week. Many of the areas required sweeping prior to cleaning due to a large amount of debris left daily on the floors so several different types of machines would be required. Floor debris can cause blockages in floor cleaning machinery, so we highly recommend removing it with a sweeper prior to the cleaning. Once of our engineers reported back that a call we sent him on recently was caused by a severe build-up of Limescale and to resolve he had to run through a solution tank descaling procedure several times before the machine would dispense water onto the floor again. The call originated from a customer in Stoke-on-Trent who operate a discount store there; they reported that their Viper Fang 20 HD scrubber dryer would not dispense cleaning fluid onto the floor during operation and suspecting a mechanical fault requested an engineer attend and fix the problem. As we already had an engineer in the Stoke area, we were able to attend on the same day. Training cleaning staff in the use of their floor cleaning equipment is a service we always offer to our customers, regardless of whether the machine they have purchased is new or reconditioned. We normally send our Engineers to do the training as they can deliver the machine and provide training at the same time, they have also built up an invaluable experience in how not to use the machine and can usually recite a scenario or two that keeps the training interesting.
