Truvox Hydromist Repair at Nottingham Residential Home

A3 Machines were called to a residential home in Nottingham recently, where they were having trouble with their Truvox Hydromist compact carpet cleaner. Residential homes have strict health and safety guidelines which have to be met and an important part of that involves ensuring their carpets are kept clean. With constant footfall from residents and visitors as well as other contaminants this is not a simple task. Having a professional carpet cleaning machine on hand makes that task easier and for this they relied upon a Truvox Hydromist HC250 Compact Carpet Cleaner.

Repairing Truvox Hydromist Carpet Cleaners

We sent an engineer down to Nottingham to inspect the machine and make any necessary repairs to ensure it was running at maximum performance. After taking a brief look at the machine it was clear it had taken some punishment over the years due to the cracks in the moulded housing. Any machine in constant use will suffer wear and tear and therefore it was not surprising that this machine was now starting to have issues.

Our engineer put the Truvox Hydromist HC250 through some tests and could see the main issue related to the vacuum system which wasn’t extracting the cleaning solution from the floor and back into the recovery tank. The source of the fault was discovered to be the seal around the main vacuum motor which was cracked and letting air into the system thus reducing the effectiveness of the vacuum.


After carrying out a repair on-site the machine was thoroughly re-tested to ensure the vacuum system was now working as expected and to see if there were any more faults. Discovering none, the engineer was happy with the machine’s condition and it was put back into service.

The Truvox Hydromist HC250
